If you’re hiring in more than one African country, you need an EOR that actually operates there — not a “we can enable that market” promise that adds months. In 2026 the providers that consistently deliver are the ones with real entity coverage and clear pricing. Here’s how we’d rank them for pan-Africa use.
1. Deel: Strongest overall for Africa in terms of country count and reliability. Live in South Africa, Nigeria, Kenya, Egypt, Ghana, Morocco, and several others. Onboarding is fast (often 1–2 weeks to first contract). Pricing is on the higher side: expect roughly $500–800/employee/month or equivalent percentage in many markets. Best when you want one platform, predictable process, and can absorb the premium. Support and product are solid; less ideal if you’re optimising purely for cost.
2. Remote: Comparable coverage to Deel in the main markets (South Africa, Nigeria, Kenya, Egypt, Ghana). Slightly more competitive on price in some countries; worth getting a direct quote. Good for companies that want a recognised brand and don’t want to manage multiple vendors. Check current country list — they’ve trimmed or added markets over time. Time to first contract is typically 1–3 weeks where they have direct entities.
3. Multiplier: Often the best value for Africa. Lower per-employee cost than Deel and Remote in many cases; percentage-based pricing can suit startups and scale-ups. Coverage has expanded; confirm they have a direct or vetted partner in your target country. Slightly less polished product than the top two but solid compliance. Pick Multiplier when budget matters and you’re in countries they support.
4. Oyster HR: Good option for remote-first and distributed teams. Africa coverage is more selective — strong in some markets, absent in others. Check their country list before committing. Where they operate, onboarding and support are generally strong. Pricing tends to sit between Multiplier and Deel. Best when your Africa hires are part of a broader global team and you want one HR platform.
5. Rippling: Global workforce platform with EOR; Africa is part of the roadmap but not always as deep as Deel or Remote. Best for companies already using Rippling for payroll and HR in the US or elsewhere who want to add a few Africa roles. Get confirmation on entity ownership and time-to-contract for your specific countries.
How to choose: List your countries and headcount. Get all-in quotes (EOR fee + employer statutory) from at least two of the above. For 1–10 people across 2–4 countries, Multiplier or Remote often win on cost; Deel wins on consistency and product. For a single country, see our country-specific best EOR pages (South Africa, Nigeria, Kenya, etc.) for tighter shortlists.
